Metro this week announced that it will be opening the Silver Line Extension on Tuesday, November 15.
The new Silver Line will be a sigh of relief for Metrorail customers, connecting Washington Dulles International Airport and Loudoun County for the first time. According to Metro, customers visiting the six new Silver Line stations namely, Reston Town Center, Herndon, Innovation Center, Washington Dulles International Airport, Loudoun Gateway, and Ashburn on the opening day will be greeted by Metro teams handing out commemorative pennants, a Metro tradition that started when the first station opened in 1976.
