The Washington Capitals and the Washington Wizards are staying in D.C. until at least 2050.
Announcing the new $515 million deal, Mayor Bowser who was accompanied by city leaders, including Monumental Sports owner Ted Leonsis stated that the package will include arena upgrades, expanded improvements to pedestrian and traffic , as well as retail, concessions and dedicated 17 police officers during games. The new deal is expected to sail smoothly in the next Council vote.
