DC Mayor Muriel Bowser this week announced plans to open new COVID resource centers in each ward.
According to Mayor Bowser, the new “COVID Centers” are geared towards ensuring that more people have access to testing, vaccination and booster shots. The new centers in wards 1,2, 7 and 8 will be open from 1pm to 8pm. Additional centers for wards 3,4,5,and 6 are set to be open on January 24th. The centers will also have PCR test resources, and rapid antigen tests to take home.
We are going to be having centers like this across the District. D.C. wants residents to know where they can go in their own communities in a more permanent facility that is going to be supported by D.C. Health. – Mayor Bowser
