President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden this week lead the nation in lighting the annual Christmas Tree.
In his remarks, Biden paid tribute to service members for their great sacrice to the nation. The President also remembered all those we lost to COVID 19, while applauding americans for their extraordinary optism.
We are a great nation because of you, the American people. You’ve made me so optimistic. – Biden
Also in attendance were Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff. There were perfomances by LL Cool J, Patti LaBelle, Kristin Chenoweth Chris Stapleton, Billy Porter and Howard University’s gospel choir.
