Mayor Bowser Extends DC COVID-19 Emergency To Jan 2022

DC mayor Muriel Bowser on Thursday extended the Covid-19 public health emergency to January 7th 2022.

Today, I extended the Public Emergency until January 7, 2022. By extending the Public Emergency, the District can continue responding expeditiously and safely to COVID-19 and its ongoing impacts. – Mayor Bowser

According to DC health authorities, the local transmission currently stands at a seven-day average of 20.0 new daily cases per 100,000 persons. Total infections in DC are now at 61,978, with 1180 total deaths due to COVID-19.
