The James Beard Award has announced the semifinalists for the 2025 awards, and DC is well represented by Chefs Amy Brandwein of Centrolina, Matt Adler of Cucina Morin, Paolo Dungca of Hiraya, and a number of local chefs.
Most notable is Chef Amy Brandwein who is recognized for her culinary expertise and is also the sole local contender for the nationwide outstanding Chef.

Nominees will be announced on Wednesday, April 2, and winners will be announced at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards ceremony on Monday, June 16 at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
