The James Beard Award has announced the semifinalists for the 2024 awards, and DC is well represented by Chef Amy Brandwein of Centrolina, Chef Ashok Bajaj of Rasika and a number of local chefs.
Most notable is Chef Ashok Bajaj who is recognized not only for his culinary expertise but also for his success in the restaurant business. In addition to Rasika, he owns and operates several other restaurants in the Washington, D.C., area, each offering a unique dining experience.
