The Kennedy Center Honors  Motowns Founder Berry Gordy

The Kennedy Center Awards returned this weekend with an in-person event at the Kennedy Center’s Opera House.

The prestigious award which honors lifetime achievement in arts,  made a comeback in its 44th season after previous delays due to Covid-19 pandemic.

This year’s honorees include reknowned Motowns Records founder, Berry Gordy, Folk music maestro Joni Mitchell, Saturday Night Live founder Lorne Michaels, Opera singer Justino Diaz, and actress Bette Midler. The event was also attended by President Biden .
