DC Small Businesses Feted at 2019 Business Week Summit

Business leaders from around DC this morning gathered at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center to network and explore business engagement opportunities, and also to pay tribute to the 2019 DC Small Business Award winners.

This year’s themes of Advocacy, Connections, Education and Visibility brought together over 25 Exhibitors, Business Diversity Suppliers, Financial Institutions and Alternative Lenders.

The DC Small Business Award is the highest honor that DC Chamber and DC Department of Small and Local Business Development can bestow on local small businesses.

The 2019 winners are:

  • Non-Profit Organization of the Year – Washington Area Community Investment Fund (WaCIF)

  • Women in Business Champion of the Year – Natalie Madeira Cofield, Walker’s Legacy

  • Certified Business Enterprise Business of the Year – Cadogan & Associates
  • Retailer of the Year – Labyrinth Games and Puzzles
