DC area native and Basketball superstar, Kevin Durant this week became the career leader in points for the U.S. in Olympic competition, passing Lisa Leslie record.
Durant broke the record at the quarterfinal game against Brazil on Tuesday. With 3:06 left in the third quarter, Durant scored six points, bringing his totals to 489 in four Olympic appearances. Previous record holder, Leslie had 488 points and four gold medals in her four olympics appearances. Durant is on track to become the first male player in Olympic history with four golds.
