D.C. United manager Wayne Rooney this week announced that they have signed Poland midfielder Mateusz Klich on a two-year contract.
Klich has been with the English Premier League side, Leeds United since moving from from Dutch League, FC Twente in 2017. He has also won more than 40 caps for Poland on international assignments. klich’s new contract runs through 2024, with an extra one year renewal option.
Mateusz is a first-rate midfielder who will add top-level experience to our roster. I’ve been watching him since he helped lead Leeds to promotion to the Premier League and his vision, range of passing, and scoring ability will be a huge asset for us this season. – Wayne Rooney, D.C.
