DC Mayor Muriel Bowser has nominated Assistant Chief John Donnelly to take over the D.C. Fire and EMS Department. His nomination will be going to DC council for approval.
The new Fire Chief will be replacing the former Chief Gregory Dean who is retiring after nearly 50 years in the fire service.
