The annual Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington’s RAMMY Awards gala took place on Sunday night at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
Most notable entry was Spoken English, the New Restaurant of The Year. Spoken English is a Tachinomiya-style neighborhood space located within the LINE DC. As a standing-room only restaurant, Spoken English welcomes open-minded patrons willing to engage in new interactions with neighbors, strangers, and friends alike.
Restaurateur Virginia Ali of Bens Chili Bowl was honored with the 2019 Duke Zeibert Capital Achievement Award.in honor of her 60-year career span, dedication and excellence in the restaurant business, unwavering allegiance to her community and industry.

- Regional Food & Beverage Produce – Ivy City Smokehouse
- Formal Fine Dining Restaurant of the Year – Wolfgang Puck
