DC residents on Saturday came out in large numbers to celebrate the legacy and music of hometown legend Chuck Brown, the Godfather of Go-Go.
The 5th annual event which took place at Chuck Brown Memorial Park in North East DC drew many fans, with amazing performances by Crank Crusaders, Junkyard band and the incredible Chuck Brown band.
Not even a minor downpour later in the day could dampen the spirit of GoGo fans eager to relive and honor the undisputed Godfather of Go-Go.
Also gracing the event were various DC leaders such as Mayor Bowser, Councilman Kenyan McDuffie and former Mayor and Ward 7 Councilman Vincent Gray.
