The 2023 Cherokee Days Festival takes place this weekend at the National Museum of the American Indian.
The fiestival brings together the three federally recognized Cherokee tribes of Cherokee Nation, Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, and the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians, and aims to showcase the shared history and cultural lifeways of the Cherokee people through storytelling, traditional flute music, weaponry, woodcarving, beadwork, traditional games, basket weaving, pottery demonstrations, and music and dance performances.
According to National Museum of the American Indian, the festival runs from 04/01-04/02, between 10am and 5pm .
