The 2019 World Embassy Tour (AWET) is on Saturday May 4th 2019 from 10am to 4pm. Admission is free and you are encouraged to use Metro since most of the embassies are within walking distance from DuPont Circle and Van Ness /UDC Metro stations.
According to the event organizers, Cultural Tourism DC, participants can travel the world as they experience the food, art, dance, fashion, and music of different countries. In the past, visitors have been treated to karate demonstrations, dance performances, sari wrapping lessons, and henna demonstrations.
Please note that embassies on International Drive are larger and often have shorter lines than those on Embassy Row.
