Starting September 23 2019 Amtrak commuters will be able to travel uninterrupted from New York to Washington DC, and back again.
According to Amtrak, there will be no stops and no disruptions, meaning commuters can travel faster than ever from the Big Apple to the Capitol.
The new service dubbed Acela Nonstop, will Weekday departures from New York at 6:35 am and Washington DC. at 4:30 pm, making it easier for commuters to make easy day trips and be home to enjoy the evening.
The new Acela Nonstop service will have you half way to your New York City or D.C. destination in the time it would take you to board a flight. This new service will offer an ideal solution for travelers who want to save time and travel between city center D.C. and New York. – Amtrak President and CEO Richard Anderson
